Frank Warren, who promotes Fury and Dubois, hopes a unification fight could follow, although he stopped short of confirming that the Cardiff winner would face the WBO champion.
His Queensberry stable also features IBF title holder Filip Hrgovic and newly crowned WBC champion Agit Kabayel, offering several possible routes towards unifying the division.
Speaking after Saturday’s action, Warren said: “All those names are there to do a unification fight next year and that’s what we’ll be working on.”
Asked whether Dubois could meet the winner of Fury against Joshua, he added: “Well, that remains to be seen, but what can you do with these fights? You can only keep making the best fights.”
