Tyson Fury will step into the ring against Polish heavyweight Mariusz Wach on 24 July at the Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya, Thailand.
The bout serves as preparation for the highly anticipated all-British clash with Anthony Joshua, which has been provisionally scheduled for later this year.
‘The Gypsy King’ has recently moved his training operations to Southeast Asia, making Thailand a fitting location for this warm-up contest.
Both the venue and date for the Joshua encounter remain unconfirmed, though the fight hinges on both men winning their respective tune-up bouts. Joshua faces Albanian fighter Kristian Prenga the following day on 25 July.

Wach enters the contest at 46 years of age, carrying a professional record of 39 wins and 13 defeats.
The Polish fighter, nicknamed ‘The Viking’, challenged Wladimir Klitschko for the unified WBA, WBC and IBF heavyweight titles back in 2012, though his best years are firmly behind him.
Now operating as a durable journeyman, Wach is recognised for his granite chin and capacity to absorb punishment rather than his winning potential.
His recent form tells its own story: seven losses from his past ten outings, including a second-round stoppage defeat to Moses Itauma in July 2024.
Previous opponents include Dillian Whyte, Martin Bakole, and Alexander Povetkin.
Tyson Fury’s fight will be broadcast on Netflix
Fury expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming contest, stating: “2026 is a landmark year for me in boxing and I’m excited to be able to bring this event to Pattaya, a part of the world that is special to me.”
The heavyweight spoke of his intentions beyond the sporting spectacle, adding: “We’re coming together to put on a great show for the fans, while using the opportunity to give back to the local community, who have been so good to me every time I have visited.”
He emphasised his professional mindset, saying: “At the same time, I’m fully focused on preparing for a tough opponent and making sure I’m the best version of Tyson Fury going into fight night.”
Fury’s promoter Frank Warren voiced his delight at having the fighter back in action, commenting: “Boxing is a better place with Tyson Fury in it, so it’s fantastic to have him back in action on Friday 24th July.”
Warren praised his fighter’s condition and focus, adding: “Tyson is in great shape and completely focused on putting on a show against Mariusz Wach.”
The promoter expressed confidence in the event’s appeal, describing Fury as “a true global superstar” and predicting fans would fill the venue for “a vintage performance from the Gypsy King.”
Tickets for the Thailand event go on sale from the week commencing 6 July.
