Trump Declares 10th War ‘Ended’ as Lebanon Agrees to 10-Day Ceasefire With Israel

US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that Israel and Lebanon have agreed to a 10-day ceasefire following direct talks with their stakeholders.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he had spoken with Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, after which both sides agreed to pause hostilities starting today.

The agreement follows recent diplomatic engagement in Washington, where representatives from both sides met for the first time in decades alongside US officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Trump said he has instructed Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan “Razin” Caine to work with both Israel and Lebanon to secure a more lasting peace arrangement.

Trump also said he considers this ceasefire as part of a bigger effort to help resolve his “10th war” after last week’s engagement with Iran through Pakistan.
