The NFL Has a Fashion Editor. Here Are His Favorite Things.

Book you want to read: Cairo Circles by Doma Mahmoud. My favorite book is Let the Great World Spin, which takes place in New York, and this book feels like the Cairo version of that, which hits close to home.

Watching: Industry. But I’m on season two. Don’t spoil anything!

Listening to: I’m always listening to the same five albums on repeat. Currently, it’s Does It Offend You, Yeah?’s You Have No Idea What You’re Getting Yourself Into.

Inspired by: Wolfgang Tillmans’s and Philip-Lorca diCorcia’s work. Imagine their style of photography in the NFL tunnel?

Beauty

Skin-care routine: Gentle cleansers and toner. Vitamin C and snail mucin and a mild retinoid are key. Then a moisturizer with SPF.

Lip balm: My mom got me this Gucci multipurpose balm that I love and the commissioner tried to steal.

Shampoo: Mielle Organics Rosemary Mint Strengthening Shampoo.

Perfume: It’s all very context-based (season, time of day, social goals), but I play a lot with layering La Collection Privée Dior and Byredo fragrances. And I never underestimate the power of a scented lotion.

Home

Conversation-causing object: My Sicilian ceramic pine cones I got in Taormina.

Coffee-table book: We Are Experienced by Danielle Levitt.

Candle: The NH X Kuumba Transition Cone incense from the Japanese streetwear brand Neighborhood.

Stationery: I use the cards from the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, which gives me an excuse to go look at art every once in a while when I run out.

Beloved artwork: My poster of an old Egyptian stamp. My uncle who recently passed used to be the postmaster general of Egypt, so whenever I look at it, I think of him.
