The Big Flea will return to Edison this fall with two days of vintage clothing, jewelry, furniture, artwork and antiques under one roof. Tickets are on sale now.
The market will be held Saturday, Oct. 10, and Sunday, Oct. 11, at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center, 97 Sunfield Ave. Shoppers can browse pieces ranging from vintage fashion and Art Deco décor to midcentury furniture, jewelry and other secondhand finds.
The indoor setting gives shoppers room to move through a wide mix of dealers and categories in one place, whether they are looking for a larger piece for their home or something small enough to carry out that day.
Vintage clothing has long been part of The Big Flea’s shows, alongside jewelry, furniture, decorative pieces, artwork and collectibles from different eras. The mix also gives shoppers a chance to find older and secondhand pieces rather than buying new.
The Big Flea has been operating for more than 40 years. Founded by Joan Sides, the family-owned business has hosted flea and antiques shows in several cities and is now run by her children, Marthia and Dee Dee.
The Edison event runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $15 and is good for both days.
