Sydney FC have signed American forward Faith Webber from NWSL club Denver Summit FC ahead of the 2026/27 Ninja A-League season.
The 23-year-old joins the Sky Blues after a prolific collegiate career with Utah Valley University, where she finished as the leading goalscorer in NCAA Division I in 2025.
Webber scored 22 goals in 22 appearances last season, having also led the nation for goals per game a year earlier after finding the net 18 times in 19 matches.
Her performances earned her a move into the professional ranks with NWSL expansion club Denver Summit FC in January.

Webber subsequently joined USL Super League side Tampa Bay Sun on loan, where Sydney FC centre-half Charlotte McLean also played last season.
The American impressed during her time in Florida, winning the USL Super League Goal of the Month award for March.
Webber said she is excited to test herself in Australia and join a Sydney FC squad with ambitions of challenging for silverware.
“I’m extremely excited to be joining Sydney FC and coming to Australia to play in what is a very competitive league in women’s football,” she said.
“Everything I’ve heard about the club, the playing group and the environment has been really positive, and I’m looking forward to becoming part of what is already an excellent young squad.
“It’s very clear that Sydney FC have set the benchmark in Australian women’s football since the league began. The club has a fantastic history of winning trophies and being successful.
“I’m under no illusions about what the target is this season. We want to compete for trophies and win, and I’m coming to Sydney determined to contribute as much as I possibly can towards achieving that.”

Head Coach James Slaveski believes Webber’s athleticism and goalscoring instincts will add another dimension to Sydney’s attack.
“Faith has an excellent set of attributes which we believe will translate very well to the A-League,” Slaveski said.
“She is quick, athletic and has a fantastic work rate, while her movement and ability to make quality runs in behind defenders will give us another real threat in the final third.

“Her goalscoring numbers at NCAA Division I level are exceptional and demonstrate that she knows how to find the right areas and finish chances.
“Importantly, she is also prepared to work extremely hard without the ball. She understands how to press and defend from the front, which is an important part of how we want our forwards to play.
“She is hungry to improve, she wants to win and I think she will complement the attacking players we already have within the squad extremely well.

Webber finished her four-year career at Utah Valley as the university’s all-time leading goalscorer, scoring 70 goals for the Wolverines.
She is due to arrive in Australia in early September and will begin training with Sydney ahead of the start of the 2026/27 Ninja A-League season in mid-October.
