Delani Rodriguez, 21, is charged with murder and is currently being held without bail, prosecuters said.

A Holyoke woman was arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a man last month, while her boyfriend remains at large, prosecutors said.

Delani Rodriguez, 21, is charged with murder for the fatal shooting of Robert Abreu, 31, on April 18, court documents show.

Rodriguez was arrested in Springfield just days after the shooting and is currently being held without bail pending a May 22 pretrial hearing, court documents show.

Police are still searching for Rodriguez’s boyfriend, Daniel Medina, 22, who is accused of firing the gun at Abreu, a statement of facts filed in court said.

The evening of April 18, police responded to the area of 139 Sargeant St. for a person shot, the office of the Hampden District Attorney said.

Police found Abreu laying outside of his van suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the neck, police wrote.

He was transported to Baystate Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, the DA said.

According to investigators, Abreu was the boyfriend of Rodriguez’s upstairs neighbor. Rodriguez and the neighbor had an ongoing feud due to other “repeated disturbances and prior domestic incidents occurring within Rodriguez’s apartment,” police wrote.

In the evening of April 18, Rodriquez and Medina allegedly opened Abreu’s car door and began to physically assault him while he sat in the driver’s seat. The struggle lasted until Medina allegedly shot Abreu in the neck, the statement of facts said.

“Anyone with information regarding Medina’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office at 413-505-5993,” the DA said.

An attorney for Rodriguez could not be reached for comment Monday evening.
