A Perth FIFO worker with an activewear side hustle has been forced to apologise after his wife posted an “inappropriate video” of someone at the gym, with his wife’s own follow up video attracting an onslaught of criticism.
Connor Wright, who says his partner Chloe Wright runs his business Suave Activewear while he is away working, uploaded a video from his car, saying he could no longer wait to address the matter.
“Time to address the video that Chloe posted to her personal Instagram story the other day,” Mr Wright said in a video posted to the business’ TikTok page.

The video he mentioned, was a video of a man using a rowing machine at a gym while working on his fitness. His wife, who posted the video, appeared to mock the man in the video for not using a rowing machine in the way she expected.
Here is the video, which was reshared and criticised online quickly after.
“I own the business, she (Chloe) helps out when I am away working FIFO two-in-one roster,” he explained, attempting to distance his business from his wife’s controversial comments that have exploded across social media.
The statement that Mr Wright is the owner confused some as the Sauve Activewear website says both “Chloe and Connor” are founders.
“I did really want to wait until I was home with Chloe to be able to make this video because she really wants to apologise, but my community means the world to me and you deserve an explanation.”

Mr Wright decided to explain the “back story”, potentially hoping that might ease criticism.
“She has gone out for dinner with her family and while sitting out at dinner they could see into a gym,” Mr Wright said.
“In the gym, there was a man that looked like her twin brother that did rowing in high school, and he was using a different technique on the rowing machine.
“She has non-consensually videod (sic) and posted this man to her story with the caption ‘ turns out we have been doing the rower wrong all these years.”
Mr Wright said he was not posting his video to “excuse the behaviour”, but did decide to call out that it had come to the public’s attention after his partner’s post was screen shot/ recorded and then shared on other social media pages.
‘Violated’: Chloe Wright’s apology
Mr Wright’s video ‘setting the record straight’, was closely followed by a video from his wife Chloe, also shared to the activewear company’s TikTok page.
Mrs Wright said she had taken some time “to stop and reflect” before posting her apology which came hours after her husband cleared up the business way his and that his wife only helped out.
“I owe you all an apology,” she said, standing in front of a stock room, while wearing Suave Activewear.
“I took a video of someone in the gym just doing their thing and it was thoughtless and stupid, and to be honest, it never should have happened.
“I’m sorry to everyone I offended… I will do better.
“The gym is a very vulnerable place, and I did violate that. I promise you I have learnt from this and I hope you guys can accept my apology.”

Chloe Wright’s apology slammed
On TikTok, reaction to Mrs Wright’s apology wasn’t glowing.
“She’s not actually sorry she’s just trying to protect her company so they won’t loose money,” a profile with the name Lachie wrote.
Another called her apology inauthentic.
“A 27 second inauthentic video where only 10 seconds were spent on apology….wild!” they wrote on TikTok.
One person even called her apology “robotic”.
“The most emotionless and robotic apology of 2026,” someone commented.
It also appears that the apology from both the owner and his wife who helps out has done little to convince people they should shop with Suave Activewear.
“Automatically wouldn’t buy from this brand now because the money would go towards you,” a person named Matilda wrote.
While another suggested a closing down sale might coming.
“Soooo… when’s the 50% off closing down day sale?,” Tom Hanson wrote.
