The mortgage and finance industry’s biggest names came together at Adelaide Oval this week as the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) announced the South Australia and Northern Territory winners of its 2026 Excellence Awards.

Now in their 23rd year, the awards are considered among the industry’s top honours, recognising outstanding professionalism, leadership, innovation and customer service across the mortgage and finance broking sector.

The event gathered brokers, lenders, aggregators and finance professionals from across SA and the NT to celebrate the people and businesses helping shape the future of the industry.

MFAA CEO Anja Pannek said, “The South Australia and the Northern Territory winners exemplify the professionalism, leadership and commitment to client outcomes that continue to strengthen confidence in our industry.

“The calibre of submissions this year was exceptionally strong, reflecting the depth of talent, commitment and professionalism across the South Australia and the Northern Territory broking community.”

Among the major winners on the night were Search Mortgages, which took out the Finance Broker Business Award, and HT Capital, which received both the Community Champion Award and Diversified Business Award.

Other standout winners included Peter Savage from Savage Money, who won Residential Finance Broker Award, Christian Greco from Greco Finance Co, who claimed the Regional Finance Broker Award, Kanwal Singh from White Horse Finance who won Commercial & Equipment Finance Broker Award and David Signore from Loans Combined, recognised with the Young Professional Award.

In the lender categories, Macquarie Bank was awarded Major Lender, ING took out Non Major Lender, Credit Union SA won Mutual/Credit Union Lender, Prospa received Fintech Lender, and HomeStart was recognised as Specialty Lender.

The awards also celebrated rising industry talent, with Amir Beganovic from Talk Finance named Newcomer of the Year.

All winners were selected through an independent judging process, with results verified by Hall Chadwick to ensure fairness and transparency. The MFAA also acknowledged the ongoing support of its award partners, including Prospa, Connective, Commonwealth Bank, ANZ, Macquarie Bank, ING, NAB and Mortgage Choice.

As the mortgage and finance sector continues to evolve, the awards highlighted the growing importance of trusted advice, strong customer relationships and innovation in helping Australians navigate an increasingly complex lending landscape.
