Four-time Socceroo Anthony Caceres has left Macarthur Bulls after one season, with the club confirming the midfielder is exploring a move overseas.

Caceres joined the bulls ahead of the 2025-26 Isuzu UTE A-League campaign from Sydney FC, where he had previously established himself as one of the country’s most technically gifted midfielders.

The 33-year-old chalked up 23 Isuzu UTE A-League appearances for the Bulls, registering three goals and two assists whilst also playing eight games for the club in their run to the last 16 of the AFC Champions League Two.

The midfielder’s departure is the latest in a long line of off-season exits at the club as head coach Mile Sterjovski looks to reshape his squad ahead of the new campaign.

Caceres joins the likes of Australian internationals Mitch Duke and Luke Brattan in leaving the Bulls, with both players still plotting their next moves, whilst one of the A-Leagues’ best goalkeepers, Filip Kurto, is also on the market after being released.

Furthermore, experienced defenders Tomislav Uskok and Matthew Jurman have also departed as has striker Harrison Sawyer whilst foreign imports Rafael Duran, Ji Dong-won, Sime Grzan have all left the club after just one season.

Sterjovski and his football department have been busy bringing players into the club though, with the likes of championship-winning defender Nathan Paull joining from Central Coast Mariners and Premiership winner Ben Gibson joining from Newcastle Jets.
