A shirtless man is on the run after allegedly ramming a stolen ute into a police car 11 times, injuring two officers.
Police were called to a unit complex on Fleet Street in Melbourne’s Mornington about 7.40pm on Friday following reports of a suspicious loiterer.
When officers arrived, they found a stolen black Toyota LandCruiser ute in the driveway.

CCTV footage shows the ute driving forward into the police car once, prompting the two senior constables to step back and seek cover.
Then the driver allegedly slammed into the patrol vehicle again and again, continuing even as one officer drew his firearm.

The force pushed the police car further down the driveway until both vehicles became wedged.
The driver then climbed out through the passenger seat — shirtless and wearing only socks — before scrambling over the police car and fleeing north along Fleet St.
The police car was left badly damaged, and both officers suffered minor injuries that required medical treatment the following day.
The impact caused significant damage to the property, with about 20m of fencing reduced to rubble, a neighbour’s gas meter ripped from the wall, the garage rendered stripped back to brick, and a power box torn from the ground.
Residents said the destruction has left them shaken and facing unexpected repair costs just days before Christmas.
The offender remains at large and investigations are ongoing.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.
