Music and ducklings kicked off Mother’s Day weekend.

Saturday’s rain didn’t dampen the fun around Boston this weekend. Several events seemed to attract enthusiastic crowds.
Events included LEGO Group’s Duckling Day on Boston Common on Saturday, featuring duck-themed community big build activities using LEGO® DUPLO® bricks, inspired by Boston’s annual celebration of the children’s story “Make Way for Ducklings.” The duckling celebration continues at the common on Sunday.
In Somerville, PorchFest showcased neighbors hosting musicians on porches across the city.
And in City Hall Plaza, the Mojo Boston Music Festival featured a “10-hour celebration of contemporary sound and urban art.”
