Sahibzada Farhan Century Powers Multan Sultans Past Hyderabad Kingsmen in PSL 2026

Multan Sultans chased down a daunting 226-run target with eight balls to spare as Sahibzada Farhan’s unbeaten century condemned Hyderabad Kingsmen to a third straight defeat in PSL 2026.

Multan Sultans produced one of the most commanding chases of PSL 2026 on Wednesday night, hunting down 226 to beat Hyderabad Kingsmen by six wickets at Lahore and move to the top of the table. The win was driven by a stunning unbeaten 106 from Sahibzada Farhan, who anchored the chase with authority and finished the game in style.

Farhan’s knock came off 57 balls and included seven fours and eight sixes, with the final maximum sealing the result. He found strong support from Steven Smith, who made 46 from just 20 balls, as the pair added 104 for the opening wicket and gave Multan the platform they needed in a high-scoring contest.

Hyderabad Kingsmen had earlier posted an imposing 225 for 5 after being asked to bat first. Maaz Sadaqat led the early charge with a blistering 62 off 26 balls, while Sharjeel Khan marked his PSL return with an unbeaten 51 off 26 deliveries. Kingsmen raced to 74 for 1 in the powerplay and looked set to register their first win of the campaign, but their bowlers could not contain Multan once the dew set in.

The chase turned decisively in Multan’s favour through a series of aggressive partnerships. After the Smith-Farhan stand, Shan Masood added 29 from 16 balls and Arafat Minhas remained unbeaten on 26 from 11, ensuring there was no late collapse. Hyderabad did manage two wickets through Saim Ayub, but the asking rate never truly pushed Multan out of control.

For Hyderabad Kingsmen, the defeat will sting. They have now lost all three of their matches and remain rooted to the bottom of the table. Multan, meanwhile, have made a sharp early statement in PSL 2026, winning both of their matches so far and climbing to the top of the standings.
