Roxbury man arrested for allegedly assaulting child he drove to and from school

Fausto Abreu, 60, had active warrants out for his arrest on three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, police said.

A Boston man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly assaulting the child he would drive to and from school.

Fausto Abreu, 60, of Roxbury, was arrested on Thursday near 100 Warren St. in Roxbury, police said.

Abreu had warrants out for his arrest on three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, the Boston Police Department said in a community announcement.

Abreu was hired through social media in September 2025 to drive a young child to and from their school, BPD said.

Abreu allegedly indecently assaulted the victim during his employment, BPD said.

Boston police are investigating the alleged assaults and seeing if there could be additional victims, police said.

Court records had not been updated to reflect Abreu’s arrest as of Thursday night.
