Rapper Kanye West settles sexual assault case with ex-assistant Lauren Pisciotta

Kanye West has reached a settlement with a former assistant who accused him of sexual assault.

The rapper also known as Ye was sued in June 2024 by Lauren Pisciotta – who had worked for him from 2021 to 2023 – for sexual harassment, breach of contract and wrongful termination.

More than a year later, she filed an amended complaint that also included allegations of stalking, sexual battery, sex trafficking and false imprisonment.

But on July 23, the pair reached a settlement agreement, the details of which have not been disclosed.

Pisciotta must now file a request to have the case dismissed within 45 days.

According to documents obtained by USA Today, the settlement has been designated as “unconditional”, meaning no court-ordered terms or conditions are required to complete the dismissal of the case.

A follow-up hearing is scheduled for September 28.

Pisciotta’s lawyer, Arick Fudali, said: “The matter has been resolved.”

In her original complaint, Pisciotta alleged West had sent her explicit text messages and pornographic videos, photos and calls, and her amended complaint accused him of trying to force sex acts on her.

When she filed her original lawsuit, West’s representative branded the allegations “baseless” and alleged Pisciotta had resorted to “blackmail and extortion” after he had rejected her advances.
