Summer holidays, long weekends and those much-needed getaways just got a little more tempting, with Qantas launching a massive domestic flight sale featuring more than two million discounted seats across Australia.
And for South Australians looking to escape without travelling too far, there are flights between Adelaide and Kangaroo Island starting from just $109 one-way.
The seven-day sale launched today, Thursday 29 October, with discounted Economy and Business fares available across more than 100 routes and 58 destinations nationwide.
Better still, the deals aren’t just for summer. Selected travel dates stretch from 30 November 2026 right through to 30 September 2027, covering some of the busiest holiday periods of the year.
That includes selected routes during the summer school holidays, Christmas and New Year, Easter and even the winter school holidays, giving families and holidaymakers plenty of opportunities to plan ahead.
And for Adelaide travellers, there are some particularly tempting deals.
Those planning a city escape can head to Melbourne from $139 one-way, while flights to Newcastle start from $239 and the Sunshine Coast from $269.
And for anyone wanting to make the journey a little more luxurious, Business Class fares from Adelaide to Melbourne and Newcastle start from $349 one-way.
Qantas Domestic CEO Markus Svensson said the sale comes at an ideal time for Australians planning their next holiday.
“With school holidays just around the corner, this sale is a great opportunity to lock in a fare for that next summer holiday.”
“With 58 destinations on sale there are plenty of options for a quick break as well as for those looking for an extended vacation.”
He also encouraged travellers to consider destinations beyond the usual holiday hotspots.
“Some of the best-value trips can be found beyond the usual holiday spots, so we’d encourage travellers to take a look at what’s on offer across regional Australia.”
All sale fares include checked baggage, food, drinks and entertainment, so travellers won’t have to factor in additional costs for those inclusions.
With December through February expected to be particularly popular for travel, those hoping to secure their preferred dates may want to get in early.
The Qantas domestic sale runs until 11:59pm AEDT on Wednesday 4 November 2026, unless fares sell out earlier.
