There were five games played at 3pm on Saturday, with Tottenham’s stuttering start to the season continuing with a 0-0 draw at Nottingham Forest.
Roberto De Zerbis’ men went into the showdown hoping to finally secure victory after defeats to Brentford and Newcastle.
But Forest made them wait, with Oliver Glasner’s side putting in a spirited display as they dug deep to earn a draw.
Manchester City beat Coventry, Crystal Palace overcame Fulham and matches involving Brighton, Leeds, Brentford and Sunderland all ended in draws.

Tottenham were fortunate to escape with a point after Neco Williams appeared to put Forest ahead the second half.
The defender capitalised on defending to force the ball home, only for officials to disallow the goal for handball.
Forest were frustrated by the decision but remain without a home goal under Oliver Glasner, who handed £50million striker Liam Delap his City Ground debut.

Erling Haaland settled the contest, powering Antoine Semenyo’s far-post cross beyond Carl Rushworth after Enzo Fernandez released the Ghanaian with a pass.
Fernandez was handed a debut minutes before kick-off after Nico O’Reilly suffered an injury during the warm-up. Fellow newcomer Iliman Ndiaye also started.
Haaland could have scored a hat-trick, but Rushworth repelled one effort before another close-range finish was disallowed for offside. Rayan Cherki also struck the post.
City needed Gianluigi Donnarumma to protect their advantage. The Italian denied Jack Rudoni and Loum Tchaouna before standing tall to thwart substitute Ellis Simms late on.
Coventry’s opportunity arrived when Taiwo Awoniyi intercepted a loose Semenyo pass and raced through, only to shoot wide. The miss proved costly as Enzo Maresca’s side clung on for a third successive victory.

The 29-year-old rejoined Palace on a free transfer from Strasbourg after spending the second half of the 2024-25 at Selhurst Park on loan.
Fulham struck first through Josh King, whose effort was cancelled out by Tyrick Mitchell’s close-range finish from an angle.
Cesar Palacios restored the hosts’ advantage before half-time, scoring his first Fulham goal after joining from Real Madrid.
Mitchell equalised again after the interval, reacting when Fulham failed to clear his attempt. Chilwell then replaced Mitchell and required three minutes to make an impact, thumping home after another mistake.
The dramatic victory delivered Pierre Sage’s first win since replacing Oliver Glasner as Palace head coach. Fulham’s difficult opening under ex-Real Madrid boss Alvaro Arbeloa continued, however, with the Whites suffering a third consecutive defeat.
Brighton 1-1 Leeds

Daniel Farke’s side struck after 15 minutes when Jayden Bogle converted Ao Tanaka’s pass into an empty net following Bart Verbruggen’s failure to hold Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s header.
Leeds almost doubled their advantage later, but Vuskovic cleared Calvert-Lewin’s effort off the line before Tanaka’s volley clipped the crossbar.
Verbruggen denied Anton Stach after the interval, while Tanaka saw a first-time finish disallowed for offside as the visitors wasted opportunities to secure victory.
Brighton equalised with 18 minutes remaining. Club-record signing Vuskovic met Maxim de Cuyper’s corner at the back post and headed beyond James Trafford.
Pascal Gross then fired over a late chance to win the match. The draw leaves Leeds eighth and Brighton ninth after three games, with both teams sitting level on points in the Premier League table.

The midfielder’s equaliser provided redemption after his Panenka attempt at the ground last season, when Regis Le Bris’ side suffered a defeat.
Sunderland dominated the half but failed to capitalise. Dan Ballard had a goal disallowed following a VAR review, while Le Fee struck the post.
Brentford lost captain Nathan Collins to injury inside 20 minutes, forcing Keith Andrews to alter his plans before making three substitutions at half-time.
Those changes appeared decisive when Vitaly Janelt fired the hosts ahead with a half-volley shortly after the restart, leaving Sunderland in danger of being punished for their missed chances.
However, substitute Wilson Isidor went down under pressure from Keane Lewis-Potter in the 82nd minute and Sunderland were awarded a penalty. Le Fee made no mistake from 12 yards, burying his effort to secure a deserved point.
