England fast bowler Tymal Mills has joined Peshawar Zalmi as a direct signing ahead of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which will be held from March 26 to May 3.
The franchise confirmed the signing on its official social media platforms, welcoming the left-arm pacer with the message: “The storm just leveled up. Let’s welcome England’s express pacer Tymal Mills to the Yellow Storm.”

Mills becomes Peshawar Zalmi’s second direct signing for the upcoming season. Earlier, the franchise signed Australian all-rounder Aaron Hardie as a replacement for Afghanistan wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who withdrew from the tournament.
This will not be Mills’ first stint with Peshawar Zalmi. He was part of the team during the third edition of the PSL, where he played five matches and picked up seven wickets with an economy rate of 7.21.
Overall, Mills has featured in 30 PSL matches, taking 37 wickets at an economy rate of 8.41. He played in the last two PSL seasons for Islamabad United.
Peshawar Zalmi have also retained several key players from their previous squad. Captain Babar Azam was retained in the Platinum category for Rs. 70 million. Sufiyan Muqeem was kept in the Diamond category for Rs. 44.8 million, while Abdul Samad was retained in Gold for Rs. 28 million. Ali Raza was kept in the Emerging category for Rs. 19.6 million.
The PSL 11 player auction, held earlier this month at the Expo Centre, marked the first time the league replaced its traditional draft system with an auction format. All eight franchises finalized their squads during the event.
As part of their squad-building strategy, Peshawar Zalmi added experienced international players Michael Bracewell and Kusal Mendis for Rs. 42 million each. The franchise also strengthened its batting lineup with the inclusion of James Vince and Mohammad Haris.
To further bolster their pace attack, Peshawar Zalmi signed Aamir Jamal and Khurram Shahzad ahead of the upcoming season.
