KARACHI – In the 17th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, Peshawar Zalmi registered the biggest win in the tournament’s history by defeating Karachi Kings by a massive margin of 159 runs.
In the match played in Karachi, Karachi Kings won the toss and invited Peshawar Zalmi to bat first.
Peshawar Zalmi set a huge target of 247 runs for victory, thanks to innings by Babar Azam and Kusal Mendis.
Kusal Mendis played a brilliant knock of 109 runs, while Babar Azam remained unbeaten on 87 off 51 balls.
The duo also recorded the highest partnership in PSL history, adding 191 runs for the second wicket.
Additionally, Abdul Samad scored a quick 40 runs off 12 balls, including 3 fours and 4 sixes.
For Karachi Kings, Abbas Afridi took 2 wickets.
In reply, Karachi Kings were bowled out for just 87 runs, with Azam Khan top-scoring with 25 runs.
