The Patriots franchise has a long and colorful relationship with games in Miami, but Drake Maye has only two as a starter:
November 24, 2024: Patriots lost 15-34. Maye completed 22 of 37 passes for 222 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT (passer rating 74.4). He also rushed 5 times for 26 yards and lost a fumble.
September 14, 2025: Patriots won 33-27. Maye completed 19 of 23 passes for 230 yards, 2 TDs, and 0 INTs (passer rating 137.3). He added 10 rushes for 31 yards and 1 rushing TD.
While history is interesting, this is a new season with a different Dolphins team. Miami has a new head coach, Jeff Hafley, and a new quarterback, Malik Willis.
The Dolphins sit at 1-5 but should not be overlooked. The Patriots need a good, solid win this week and as always, the team will be battling the weather as well as their opponent. Temps at game time are forecast to be 80-85 degrees and humid with possible showers/thunderstorms. Let’s hope the game itself won’t be so sticky.
