RawalPindiz have released Naseem Shah from their squad after the fast bowler suffered another injury setback during the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11).
The right-arm pacer will miss RawalPindiz’s final group-stage match against Hyderabad Kingsmen on Sunday, April 26 in Karachi. The franchise has already been knocked out of the tournament, making it their last game of the season.
Naseem picked up a left knee injury during RawalPindiz’s match against Islamabad United on April 23. The incident took place in the 16th over when he twisted his knee while diving to stop a boundary.
It marked another blow in an already disrupted campaign for the pacer, who had only just returned after spending several weeks out with a side strain suffered earlier this month against Karachi Kings.
The latest setback has effectively ended Naseem’s PSL 11 season and raised fresh concern over his fitness after a difficult tournament.
One of the most expensive signings in the 2026 PSL auction, Naseem joined RawalPindiz for Rs. 8.65 crore, but injuries and form prevented him from making a major impact. He managed just one wicket in his appearances this season.
During his earlier absence, RawalPindiz had already brought in Mubasir Khan as a partial replacement and added Ben Sears to strengthen the bowling attack.
The franchise management has said it will fully support Naseem through his rehabilitation process as the pacer begins recovery from his second major injury setback of the season.
