Chasing a target of 389, Pakistan’s top order collapsed under an early onslaught from Robinson and Jofra Archer, slipping to 14 for 3. Saud Shakeel mounted a counter-attack, scoring a quickfire 97 off 14 fours and two sixes while sharing a 97-run partnership with Shan Masood. However, Shakeel fell just three runs short of a century when he holed out to deep square leg off a Josh Tongue bouncer.
