“Australians are becoming far more intentional with their End of Financial Year shopping. They’re planning earlier, researching purchases more carefully and focusing on products that deliver long-term value,” said Officeworks Managing Director John Gualtieri.
“Technology and workspace upgrades are leading the way this year, particularly products that support productivity at home, work and study.”
Research indicates that more then 92 per cent of Australians admit that EOFY sales motivate them to finally make the purchase they have been putting off.
And 74 per cent of Australians revealing that they plan their EOFY purchases in advance, rather than shopping spontaneously. 60 per cent intend to shop in early June, rather than waiting until the final days before the end of financial year is up — with more than half admitting they still buy extra items once sales begin.
