Nida Yasir is a supremely talented Pakistani host, admired for hosting Pakistan’s long-running morning show Good Morning Pakistan on ARY Digital since 2011. She is also a successful producer and entrepreneur. Nida has been married to renowned TV actor and director Yasir Nawaz for more than two decades, and they have three children.
Nida and Yasir recently celebrated their 24th anniversary on Good Morning Pakistan. In the show, Nida advised couples to go on a staycation.
Nida Yasir said, “I have tried to take time out for ourselves in these years, even if I had to force Yasir. Sometimes when Yasir and I used to have an anniversary coming up, or my or his birthday, we used to go somewhere for four or five days, leaving the children behind. Because we deserve this time, and all couples should do this to revive their married life. It is not necessary to go outside Pakistan, but staycation is very much in nowadays, where you go to another place other than home to spend time together. Just for one day, you stay away from your children, family, and your daily routine life. You know what Yasir gifted me this year? Yasir gave me that freedom that, for the first time, I went on a solo vacation. I went alone to meet the children abroad, which is another thing, but this time I took Balaj along for the first time, and we enjoyed the vacation. Yasir took full responsibility during the whole Eid. I was very tired because of Eid show recordings and running around.” Watch here:
Nida Yasir’s staycation/vacation advice to couples is getting severe public backlash, where many are saying that, like her, her advice is also elite. One wrote, “You have that much money to do such things, while a normal household woman barely meets her daily needs.” One wrote, “She comes up with new ideas to frustrate already struggling women.” Another wrote, “Your husband agrees because you have crores to offer him.” Read comments
