Sunday afternoon…I am having a lazy day.
Suay is having a snooze, after her little play.
The unpredictable weather, is playing games.
Summer is hanging on, but little of it remains.
The traffic is quieter on County Road below.
Silent periods, before more traffic does flow.
Suay wakes up, she can smell tuna in the air.
It’s her favourite treat, and she wants a share!
Share it I do, and Suay eats hers next to me.
A peaceful afternoon, as relaxing as can be.
Calmness and stillness, hangs over the room.
This has become a perfect Sunday afternoon.
Tea time comes, a bowl of scouse on my knee.
Playing some Beatles, best band we’ll ever see!
I’m retired now, so no night shift in an hour or 2.
My lazy L4 day, as the sun disappears from view.
