Mohamed Salah was flocked by fans as the Liverpool legend completed his move to Trabzonspor in Turkey on Wednesday.
Hundreds of supporters swarmed around the Egyptian outside Ataturk Airport in Istanbul as the winger arrived wearing Trabzonspor’s home shirt.
It is unclear how much Salah will earn at the Turkish club after completing his move as a free agent from Liverpool.
The 33-year-old spent nine years on Merseyside, scoring 257 goals.

The veteran departed Liverpool at the end of last season, with Trabzonspor able to commit more of their budget to Salah’s wages because he is a free agent.
The Turkish side will play in either the Europa League or Conference League next season after finishing third in the Super Lig.
Should Trabzonspor lose to either Ferencvaros or Gornik Zabrze, Salah will be featuring in UEFA’s third-tier competition.
The Egyptian’s signing will go down as the biggest in the club’s history, joining former Liverpool frontman Daniel Sturridge.

Trabzonspor have been gradually teasing the announcement of their biggest signing to date.
The club posted a statement on social media confirming the breakthrough, writing: “Public Announcement: Negotiations have begun regarding the transfer of professional footballer Mohamed Salah to our Club.”

To accompany the announcement, Trabzonspor unveiled a dramatic AI-generated video showing a sweeping journey from the Egyptian pyramids across mountainous scenery before finishing inside the club’s stadium.
Salah’s future has been one of the most discussed talking points in the world of football since he confirmed his desire to leave Liverpool in March.
Saudi Arabian clubs had long been regarded as favourites after Al-Ittihad famously saw a £150million offer rejected in 2023.

Besiktas had initially been viewed as Salah’s preferred destination, but negotiations failed to progress, allowing Trabzonspor to move into pole position.
Out of respect for Liverpool, Salah chose not to hold talks with interested clubs before the end of last season.
His agent, Ramy Abbas, consistently insisted no decision had been made and maintained that position throughout the World Cup.
