Video distributor MediaOCD is partnering with Discotek Media to offer its home media catalog for direct purchase on the former’s main website.
The new initiative is called “Discotek Deep Dives” and will see 20-30 classic anime titles from the Discotek Media catalog being added to MediaOCD’s website each month. These Blu-ray releases will be available for pre-order for a few weeks before shipping.
MediaOCD founder and CEO Justin Sevakis stated in an update that they plan to eventually “carry the entire Discotek back catalog” on the company’s website, but “to the extent that it’s available.”
The launch of “Discotek Deep Dives” comes after Sevakis pointed out that “another retailer has started [delisting] a significant portion of [Discotek Media’s] back catalog,” which include “titles that are very much not out of print.”
The first slate of titles below are now available for January pre-order and will begin shipping by mid-February:
