Fans praised his acting as Fakihir in Mayi Ri. Besides this, he has also acted in Hum Dono and Na Baligh Afraad. Samar Jafri has also worked with senior actor and host Maya Khan in Mayi Ri, who has recently praised his professionalism and work ethic.
Maya Khan was a guest on Samaa TV’s show Gup Shab, hosted by Vasay Chaudhary. During the show, she opened up about the struggles and hard work of Samar Jafri.
Talking about Samar, Maya Khan said, “I have seen the pain of struggle in only a few Gen Z actors, and one of them is Samar Jafri. He is one of my most favourite Gen Z actors and is also very close to me. I have seen his patience and struggle on set. I have learned to be silent from him—to sit back and wait for Allah’s will to happen.”
Talking about the difference between Millennial stars and Gen Z stars, Maya Khan said, “The most obvious difference I notice between Gen Z and our time is that the exposure they get now was quite difficult for us to achieve, that too after so much struggle and effort. It is instant success now. They get opportunities one after another, but we took time to achieve success. The reason was that we had to prove ourselves—we had to have perfect diction, pronunciation, and eye movement. We used to be trained until we became perfect. I was an anchor, so we had rigorous training. I don’t see the same quest for struggle in this generation.”
