At about 5:33 PM on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, Transit Police Officers responded to a radio call for a person stabbed in the area of 675 Atlantic Avenue (South Station) in Boston.
Upon arrival, officers located the adult male victim suffering from an apparent stab wound, inside of the train station. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Preliminary investigation indicates the victim and suspect engaged in an altercation on an escalator that leads to an exit leaving South Station.
The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information of this altercation, before, during, or after, is strongly urged to contact the Boston Police Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.
