A man lost ₹1.75 lakh after downloading a fake mobile application disguised as a free movie streaming service, in a latest cyber fraud reported in Cyberabad.
According to officials, the victim came across a social media advertisement offering free access to the latest films and was redirected to a website resembling a legitimate platform. Believing it to be genuine, he downloaded the application and used it without suspecting any foul play.
