Luke Littler has set his sights on an extraordinary achievement after helping England win the World Cup of Darts, admitting he believes he has a “brilliant chance” of sweeping every major televised title this year.
The teenage sensation and partner Luke Humphries delivered a dominant display in Frankfurt to secure England’s first World Cup crown since 2024, defeating Spain, Wales, Scotland and the Netherlands on their way to the title.
The triumph completed another remarkable chapter in what is already shaping up to be one of the greatest seasons in darts history for Littler.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed a stunning run throughout 2026, capturing the World Championship, World Masters, UK Open, Premier League and now the World Cup of Darts.
With several major tournaments still to come before the end of the year, attention has already turned to whether Littler can complete a clean sweep of every televised title on the PDC calendar.
And the world No 1 is not dismissing the possibility.
“Obviously all the talk now is whether I’m going to lift every major this year,” Littler said after England’s victory.
“If I keep playing the way I do, then yeah, I’ve got a brilliant chance.”

Despite the growing focus on his individual achievements, Littler was quick to emphasise the importance of England’s success and the role Humphries played in securing the title.
“This isn’t only my night,” he added.
“It’s both our nights together and we’ll celebrate together.”
The pair’s success represented a significant turnaround after England’s disappointing exit in the second round of the tournament last year.

Having returned to the summit of the competition, Littler has already confirmed he intends to defend the title in 2027.
“Will I be back next year? One hundred per cent,” he said. “There’s no point winning it and not coming back.”
Humphries, meanwhile, admitted he would love to see England’s football team follow their example at the World Cup in North America.
The world No 2 revealed he has received numerous messages from supporters hoping for an England double in both darts and football this summer.
“If it gives England five per cent extra, then happy days,” Humphries said. “We’ve done our part.
“We’d love to see them do their part as well, but it’s going to be tough.
“There are so many great nations in the tournament.”
The 31-year-old also addressed suggestions that he and Littler would struggle to function as a partnership despite both being among the biggest stars in the sport.

Instead, England’s two leading players produced a near-perfect display throughout the competition.
“A lot of people doubted us,” Humphries admitted. “But we wanted to prove to ourselves that we could do what we believed we could do.
“We know how good we are and we know how good we can be as a team.”
Humphries also revealed how much the victory meant to Littler, who continues to tick off major milestones at an astonishing rate.
“Luke really wanted this one,” he said.
“This is another one ticked off.”
The celebrations continued long into the night after England lifted the trophy and collected the £100,000 winner’s prize.
However, attention will soon switch back to individual competition, with Littler and Humphries set to renew their rivalry at next month’s World Matchplay in Blackpool.
