A new 24/7 finance news channel has launched across connected TV, bringing together coverage of the stories shaping business and the economy.
Announced on Monday, Breaking Finance News is the latest offering from Australian-owned news streaming platform LeadStory, which brings together video news from publishers including 10 News, Bloomberg, CNBC and Reuters across connected TV, mobile, web and in-car platforms.
Breaking Finance News is available from today on Samsung TV Plus and LG Channels, featuring finance, business and economic coverage from a range of publishers.

Among the content available on LeadStory is CommSec Morning Report, hosted by former 10 News journalist and CommSec Head of Media and Markets Gillian Bowen (main picture), who is among the talent featured across the platform’s finance offering.
CommBank has taken naming rights to the new channel as part of a broader partnership with LeadStory, which will also include bespoke content focused on financial wellbeing, economic leadership, innovation and customer impact.
LeadStory Chief Commercial Officer Heidi Sayers said the new channel reflects the changing way audiences are consuming news, particularly as FAST channels become a more established part of the connected TV landscape.
“LeadStory was built around a simple idea: news should work around the viewer, not the other way around.”
“As FAST channels continue to grow and become a more established part of the connected TV landscape, particularly across platforms such as Samsung TV Plus and LG Channels, there is a significant opportunity to rethink how news is delivered.”
CommBank General Manager, Marketing, Paid and Owned Media Pat Crowley said the partnership would provide another way for the bank to connect with audiences as media habits continue to evolve.
“Helping Australians make more informed financial decisions is an important part of the role we play, and that means finding new and relevant ways to connect with people as their media habits continue to evolve.”
LeadStory says its platform now reaches more than 16 million viewers globally each month and has surpassed 1.25 billion minutes watched across connected TV, as the Australian-owned platform continues to expand across screens and international markets.
LeadStory was founded in 2021 by former Seven and Sky News journalist Cam Price and software engineer Cheyne Wallace.
LeadStory’s new Breaking Finance News channel is now live.
