Khushi Kapoor ditches the dupatta for a crystal-encrusted cape with her Tarun Tahiliani lehenga

Khushi Kapoor’s Indian occasion wear wardrobe reimagines the traditional Indian silhouettes through a modern interpretation. The actor subverts from traditional textiles to experiment with patchwork, organza and tissue. Kapoor often reaches for bejewelled and ornate blouses, wearing them with saris and lehengas. For a recent occasion, the Gen-z star turned to a peach-pink lehenga from designer Tarun Tahiliani.

The net lehenga features a kalidar A-line skirt with three-dimensional floral accents and intricate embroidery across the body and finished with a scalloped hem. Kapoor paired the skirt with a strapless bustier featuring a sweetheart neckline, embellished with pearls and sequins and finished with cascading beadwork tassels. The designer swapped the classic dupatta with a sheer cape while bringing modernity to the overall look. The net cape is secured with a diamond embellishment and features miniature diamond embellishments scattered across the body, while floral motifs emerge on the hemline and flow into cascading beadwork. Kapoor’s stylist Mohit Rai tied the look together with a matching heart-shaped clutch, drop earrings and a stack of rings. For beauty, Kapoor opted for a dewy base with pink smoky eyes, defined lashes, blushed cheeks and glossy pink lips, while her hair fell in loose, middle-parted soft curls.

Kapoor has frequently turned to Tarun Tahiliani for her occasion-wear wardrobe. Most recently, she wore a sharara set by the designer for her sister Anshula Kapoor’s pre-wedding prayer ceremony. For her best friend’s wedding in January this year, Kapoor chose an ivory lehenga with an embellished blouse. At another public appearance in October of 2025, she also wore a pastel sharara set by the designer.
