A pair of Boston sports notables are taking the next step in their relationship.
Broadcaster Kayla Burton and Patriots special teams coordinator Jeremy Springer announced their engagement in a social media post on Tuesday.
The couple announced the engagement using a series of photos by Alyse Arauz Photography, including one in which Burton covers her mouth in what looks like genuine surprise. They kept the caption simple: “6/19/26 ~ yes in every lifetime.”
Burton is a broadcaster for NBC Sports Boston as well as ESPN. The daughter of local newscaster Steve Burton, she played basketball at Lehigh University. Her grandfather, the late Ron Burton, was a running back for the Boston Patriots.
Springer was hired by the Patriots in 2024, under then head coach Jerod Mayo. He played college football at UTEP.
