Kate Middleton Thrills Fans With Polo Match Appearance

Kate Middleton delighted a dedicated group of polo fans Friday, by making a surprise appearance to support Prince William in a charity match.

The Princess of Wales was the picture of summer elegance in her black-and-white gingham dress by Temperley London as she arrived at Guards Polo Club, in Windsor, to cheer on the Prince of Wales as he took part in the Royal Charity Polo Cup.

The match raises vital funds for charities chosen by the Prince and Princess of Wales, including the Wales Air Ambulance, The Royal College of Paramedics, Shout, Ty Hafan, Forward Trust, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Maternal Mental Health Alliance, We Are Farming Minds, The Passage, Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.

2026 marks the 15th time that Prince William has played in this polo match. This year, it is set to take the total amount raised to more than $20.1 million for causes dear to Prince William and Kate Middleton.

With so much goodwill behind the day, it makes sense the Princess of Wales would stop by. Guards Polo Club, where Prince Philip served as president for more than 50 years, is just a stone’s throw from the Waleses’ family home of Forest Lodge.
