Abrams ComicArts’ Kana manga imprint announced late last March that it will publish the first volume of the Within The Villainess manga series on July 6, 2027.
The manga will be translated into English by Anne Estrada and lettered by Barri Shrager.
Within The Villainess is a manga adaptation of the isekai romance fantasy light novel series Akuyaku Reijo no Naka no Hito: Danzai Sareta Tensei-sha no Tame Usotsuki Heroine ni Fukushu Itashimasu. It was drawn by Nazuna Shiraume and serialized on the Pixiv Comic website under Ichijinsha’s Comic Lake brand from November 19, 2021 to May 30, 2025. A total of six tankobon volumes were published in Japan.
The light novel series is written by Makiburo and illustrated by Mai Murasaki. It was published by Ichijinsha from February 2, 2021 to February 2, 2024. Two total volumes were released in Japan. The series began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro in May 2020.
A TV anime adaptation of Akuyaku Reijo no Naka no Hito was announced in May 2025 and is scheduled to debut sometime in 2027.
