I’ve previously been stung when one of my favourite skincare products undergoes a reformulation.
Even the tiniest of tweaks can completely change the consistency and texture, and suddenly my skin just doesn’t soak up in the same way.
Luckily, when Jurlique revealed the new and improved Rare Rose range, stating that the reformulation is all about giving a dry, dehydrated complexion more lasting moisture — I knew my skin was in for a treat.

The Aussie brand has taken three of its best-selling products — the Emulsion, Serum and Face Oil — and enhanced them to focus on hydrating and supporting the skin barrier.
As someone who regularly complains about tight, dry skin, especially post-winter, I’ve been using these formulas for the last three months.
And I can’t get enough.

I got my first glimpse of the new products during a specialised Jurlique facial — and boy, did my skin thank me.
Combining the new formulations with a specialised massage technique, my thirsty skin lapped up the products while my therapist worked on lymphatic drainage.
The results? Plump, rosy and bouncy, the perfect mid-winter pick-me-up.
Using Jurlique’s Triple-Action Hydration system, the clinically backed formulas are designed to combat dehydration, delivering up to 120 hours of hydration.
Made with 100 per cent naturally derived ingredients, the formulas include Jurlique’s very own rose and intense rose, grown on the brand’s farm in Adelaide.
I’ve been using the Serum first, followed by the Emulsion in the morning, while the Face Oil has become my final step at night — and it’s a routine that my skin seems very happy with.

Rare Rose Serum – The Skin Plumper, $85
Serums are a non-negotiable for anyone with dry skin, and this supercharged formula is packed with hyaluronic acids to instantly plump and hydrate.
Best used after cleansing, it soaks into the skin, helping to support the skin barrier before you follow with the rest of your skincare.
The results? Smooth, supple skin that looks radiant and healthy.

Rare Rose Emulsion – The Sheer Shield, $75
Applying Jurlique’s Emulsion has easily become one of my favourite parts of my morning routine, and it’s all because of its milky texture.
Melting effortlessly into the skin, it almost instantly softens and comforts my complexion when things are feeling particularly dry and tight.
Stats show that hydration is boosted by an incredible 53 per cent, making it one of the most effective hydration boosters for all skin types.

Rare Rose Face Oil – The Glow Getter, $75
A face oil is one of my least favourite skincare products because I hate the feeling of a greasy residue left behind.
Yet Jurlique’s reformulated version is a dry-finish oil, meaning it instantly absorbs into the skin, feeling lovely to the touch almost immediately.
Clinically proven to increase hydration by a whopping 34 per cent overnight, it’s a game-changer in a PM routine before heading to bed.

Final thoughts
If your skin type is dry and dehydrated like mine, then you’ll find that your skin will drink this nourishing formula right up.
Since my intro facial, I’ve implemented all three products into my everyday routine, and I’ve been impressed at how the results are almost immediate.
Silky, soft and visibly plump, I’ve had endless compliments from friends and family.
Reformulations can be risky when you already love the original, but in this case — Jurlique’s are even better than before.
