JDC’s Zafar Abbas on Karachi Vs Lahore

Zafar Abbas is a renowned Pakistani social worker and philanthropist from Karachi. He is the founder of the JDC Foundation. JDC (Jafriya Disaster Management Cell Welfare) is a well-known welfare organization that works for the betterment of people. Syed Zafar Abbas Jafri established JDC in 2009 with like-minded friends. During Ramadan, JDC sets up large dastarkhwans and distributes zakat. In addition, it arranges free treatment for needy patients.

Nowadays, the founder of JDC is in Lahore, where he compared Karachi to Lahore and shared some humorous observations.

Responding to a reporter’s question, Zafar Abbas said, “The major difference between Lahore and Karachi is that here you can see around 150 iPhones; if this had happened in Karachi, all the iPhones would have been snatched by now. Another thing I noticed is that I didn’t see any roadside digs. I asked my friend in Lahore what they call a ‘dig’ or ‘gadda,’ and he said they call it ‘toya.’ So, I haven’t witnessed any ‘toya’ here in Lahore over 300 kilometres.” Here is the link to the video :
