Jacob Elordi is lending his voice to Eric Dane’s posthumous memoir, My Book of Days: A Memoir in Moments, and we’re expecting quite an emotional listen. Having watched the two play father and son in Sam Levinson’s Euphoria, we can understand why Elordi would take on the personal role to narrate Dane’s lasting words.
Dane sadly passed in February 2026, around 10 months after publicly sharing his ALS diagnosis. We knew Dane through the characters he brought to life, but his memoir is a way to meet the man behind them, in his own words.
Below, we share what we know about Eric Dane’s memoir, Elordi’s involvement and when we can read or listen to it.
Tell me more about My Book of Days: A Memoir in Moments
In the memoir, Dane takes us through the days that shaped his life as revisits his early years in Hollywood, reflects on sobriety and shares how his ALS diagnosis changed his relationship with time. Through out the book we get a more intimate picture of his life beyond the screen, through his experiences of fatherhood, ambition and loss.
He also writes about the future days he would miss, leaving reflections for his daughters to read and carry with them as they grow older. We’re expecting an incredibly personal read that gives us the chance to hear what he wanted those closest to him to remember.
Is Jacob Elordi narrating the whole book?
We’ll hear Elordi’s voice for most of the audiobook, but Maria Shriver will also contribute. Penguin Random House shared that Elordi reads the majority of the memoir, while Shriver narrates the ‘Dear Reader’ chapter she wrote about her publishing imprint, The Open Field.
After watching Elordi and Dane as Nate and Cal Jacobs in Euphoria, we imagine hearing Elordi read his former co-star’s words will make this a melancholic and moving listen.
When and where can I read it?
We can get our hands on the paperback and audiobook from 3 November 2026 in Australia. If you prefer reading on a screen, the ebook arrives on 5 November, while the hardback is currently scheduled for 5 December 2026. You can find the editions and pre-order through Penguin Books Australia.
