Is Myles Garrett at voluntary minicamp?

The Cleveland Browns are holding a voluntary minicamp on Tuesday, just days before the 2026 NFL Draft. While rumors continue to swirl around Myles Garrett and the organization, a report reveals his status for Tuesday’s minicamp.

Garrett, who is 30 years old, is not attending the Browns’ voluntary minicamp, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. The five-time First-Team All-Pro is opting not to participate in voluntary practices with the team.

Browns’ Myles Garrett is not here at voluntary minicamp,” reported Cabot.

Considering it’s voluntary, Garrett’s absence is not an issue. It is still April, and the nine-year veteran is more than capable of getting prepared for next season without participating in Tuesday’s minicamp sessions. Especially considering he is one of the best defensive players in the league.

However, this may or may not affect the trade rumors buzzing in Cleveland. The Browns have claimed they do not plan on trading Myles Garrett after restructuring his contract. Either way, he is locked in with the club through the 2029-30 campaign.

Garrett is coming off a career year after recording 60 combined tackles (43 solo), 23 sacks (NFL record), and three forced fumbles. His 43 solo tackles are a career-high, and he also led the league in tackles for losses with 33.

While Myles Garrett enjoys the offseason, the Browns are preparing for the 2026 NFL Draft. Cleveland has nine total picks, with two in the first round (No. 6 and No. 24). The front office has four picks within the top 70, giving the franchise plenty of high-value selections to stack the roster with potentially another strong rookie class.
