BINGE will expand its remit later this month as the Foxtel Group moves to combine entertainment, lifestyle programming and live news into a single streaming destination, a restructure that will also bring an end to the standalone FLASH and LifeStyle services in early 2026.
The company confirmed that from 16 December, NBC News NOW, Sky News Extra and Sky News Weather will join the platform, adding more than 25,000 hours of additional news content across the year and lifting the total number of live news channels on BINGE to 13.
These services will be offered alongside existing channels including Al Jazeera English, Bloomberg News, CNBC, CNN International, FOX SPORTS News, GB News, MS NOW, NHK World Japan, Sky News Australia and Sky News UK.

The inclusion of new international and local news outlets builds on the lifestyle and reality titles already available on BINGE, such as Selling Houses Australia, Love It or List It Australia and The Great Australian Bake Off. With this combined catalogue now sitting within a single service, the Foxtel Group will retire its dedicated FLASH news app and its LifeStyle service in February 2026.

The changes arrive amid a broader shift in the Foxtel Group’s streaming strategy as the company works to strengthen BINGE’s content offering following the departure of HBO programming from the platform earlier this year.
The consolidation is positioned by the company as an effort to provide subscribers with a simplified experience and a more cohesive library spanning global news, reality formats, lifestyle programming and general entertainment.
In a statement, Hilary Perchard, CEO of Foxtel, Kayo Sports and BINGE, said:
“These changes make sense for all subscribers.
For BINGE subscribers, they receive more value and choice with a larger selection of live news channels.
For our FLASH and LifeStyle subscribers, they now have their news and lifestyle together in one place, alongside the world’s best movies, TV shows and documentaries.
“By simplifying our apps, we can also accelerate improvements to the BINGE customer experience by leveraging our parent company, DAZN’s, technology platform and product development capabilities.
“At a time when subscribers want greater simplicity and more value, these are the right changes at the right time.”
The restructuring will also affect Foxtel customers who currently receive a complimentary FLASH subscription. Those viewers will continue accessing their news channels through Foxtel and Foxtel Go, with NBC News NOW, Al Jazeera English and CGTN News added to Foxtel Go on 16 December.
Changes to BINGE, including the addition of three new live news channels, commence on 16 December 2025 on BINGE.
