‘I Hate Every Indian Bowler’

Young Pakistani batter Hasan Nawaz has drawn strong reactions online after making a bold remark about Indian bowlers during an off-field interview.

While speaking to a journalist, the young Quetta Gladiators batter was asked about his batting strategy and how he decides which bowlers to target, especially when going for big hits. In response, Hasan Nawaz said there was not much planning behind his approach before adding that he believes batters have to attack Indian bowlers.

He then made the striking comment: “I hate every single bowler on the Indian team.”

The remark quickly caught attention on social media, where many fans praised Hasan Nawaz for his aggressive mindset and confidence. Several users described his statement as the kind of fearless attitude they want to see more often from Pakistani players, especially in high-pressure matches against India.

For years, Pakistan’s approach in major games against their arch-rivals has been criticized as too cautious. Questions over intent and mindset have followed the team in several big-match defeats, with fans and analysts repeatedly calling for a more attacking brand of cricket.

That is one reason Hasan’s comment appears to have struck a chord.

The 23-year-old has built a reputation as an attacking batter with a high strike rate in both domestic cricket and the Pakistan Super League (PSL). In the ongoing season, he has impressed for Quetta Gladiators, scoring 291 runs as a lower-order finisher, including two half-centuries.

Hasan made his Pakistan ODI debut in 2025, but has since been left out of the national setup. His supporters believe he has not been handled properly and want him to be backed and developed as a long-term option for Pakistan’s batting unit.
