The Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has put a temporary halt on the destruction of rocks at Ammuguda in Secunderabad Cantonment, after receiving complaints from the Society to Save Rocks.
Upon requests from several members of the organisation, a Disaster Response Force vehicle has been deployed at the location for a vigil against rock blasting, HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath informed.
Sources informed that even on Monday, the work continued with several boulders being blasted at the location. The builder reportedly informed HYDRAA that he had a building permission from the Cantonment Board, which will be verified through a hearing in the presence of the Cantonment Board & Revenue officials apart from the Society representatives.
