Hull man dies after apparent drowning at Nantasket Beach

A 76-year-old man from Hull died after an apparent drowning off the coast of Nantasket Beach on Wednesday evening, authorities announced. 

Authorities responded to a report of an unresponsive man, floating in the water, the office of Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz said in a press release.

The DA’s office identified the man as Robert Nolan. Nolan was pronounced dead around 8:40 p.m., Cruz’s office said.

Officials from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner transported his body to their office for examination, the DA’s office said. 

Authorities said no foul play is suspected.
