Australians will be able to watch John Cena wrestle his final WWE match LIVE on Sunday afternoon, with the company confirming a rare free-to-air global stream of the bout.
In a move that brings one of wrestling’s biggest retirements to local fans at an accessible time, WWE has announced that Australians can tune into Cena’s last-ever WWE match from 12pm AEDT on Sunday, streamed live on YouTube.
The match headlines the latest Saturday Night’s Main Event special in the United States, but for viewers here it lands neatly in the middle of the day — a far cry from the usual early-morning wrestling schedule Aussie fans often endure.

Cena, who has spent more than 20 years as one of WWE’s defining figures, will close the broadcast in a long-anticipated farewell showdown against Gunther, the powerhouse who emerged from a 16-man tournament to secure the right to face him. WWE has framed the bout as a once-only clash between eras, with the entire event built around the veteran’s retirement.
The company has also confirmed the show is a compact four-match card featuring Cody Rhodes, Oba Femi, Sol Ruca, Bayley, AJ Styles, Dragon Lee, Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater, all positioned as supporting bouts around Cena’s farewell.
In the lead-up, WWE has leaned heavily into tribute videos, retrospective features and public messages from colleagues, signalling that the finale may include extended celebrations or surprise appearances once the bell rings.
Cena himself has stated he will close the show, ruling out earlier speculation that WWE might open with the match. Internally, the bout is being treated as the emotional centerpiece of the broadcast, with timing kept flexible to allow the moment to land without rushing.
Australian fans can access the show directly through WWE’s official YouTube stream, with no sign-in or subscription required.
