Actress Minnie Driver revealed she’s thankful to be alive after being involved in a serious car accident.
The 46-year-old shared a video of herself from a bed, wearing a neck brace.
The Good Will Hunting star said she and her friend, actor Ben Homewood, got into a “really bad” car accident while in France and were lucky to escape the wreckage alive.

Driver started the video by confirming she was safely back in London following the frightening incident.
“I’m sorry about the filter I put on this but, honestly, without it I just looked appalling,” Driver said.
“Even the dog wouldn’t look at me.
“I got into a really bad car accident a few days ago with my friend Ben and we somehow walked out of it.
“Well, we didn’t walk out of it. We crawled out of it, but we did get out of it alive.”

According to Driver, the accident wasn’t their fault.
“We were driving on a country road in the middle of France and a car didn’t stop at an intersection, and was going at speed and we just T-boned it,” Driver said.
“I’m fine. I’ve got a sprained neck and I’m really in shock and sort of cry all the time, but I’m going to heal.
“And the reason that I’m not dead, honestly, is the car that we were driving.”
Driver said she had never been in a crash before and credited the “360 degree airbags” in the Kia EV2 for saving their lives.
“The fact that the entire car didn’t just concertina and crush us is down to the design of that car,” Driver said.
“Which is frankly astonishing.”

Driver made it clear her post wasn’t an advert for the car but she wanted to “celebrate” the vehicle.
“You know, I’m a mini driver, pun intended,” Driver said.
“I need to celebrate the car that saved us because we’ve got families and people who love us and I am so grateful to be alive.
“So, Kia, you are a baller car company.”
In the caption, Driver also extended her thanks to the van driver who stopped to help them before the ambulance arrived.
She and Homewood were taken to hospital, with both later sharing photos of the injuries they sustained.

Driver did not mention the condition of the other driver, and it remains unclear what happened to them.
She also paid special thanks to her friends, family and colleagues for their support as she continues to recover.
“My brain keeps replaying the crash which is very hard but seems to be a necessary part of processing,” Driver said.
“Weeping too, feels good and helpful.“
