Fujairah has been confirmed as host of the third West Asia Archery Cup, with the tournament set to take place from October 15 to 22, 2026.
The West Asia Archery Federation approved the emirate as host for the regional event, which is expected to bring national teams from across West Asia to the UAE.
The competition will include under-18, under-21 and senior categories. Men and women will compete in both recurve and compound bow events.
“The championship will feature the under-18, under-21, and senior categories in recurve and compound bow competitions for men and women.”
Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al Shadoukhi, Secretary-General of the West Asia Archery Federation, said the event forms part of wider plans to support and prepare archers across the region.
The timing also gives teams a competitive stop before the third stage of the Asian Cup Championship, which will be held in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, from October 24 to 29.
The event will also offer younger archers a chance to compete alongside senior athletes, with technical standards across age groups a key focus for the federation.
