FRINGE: The LadyBoys of Bangkok light up Adelaide Fringe in final week

If glittering costumes and high-energy choreography with a touch of glamour sound like your type of thing, there’s a Fringe show you’re going to want to check out in its final week. The internationally celebrated Adelaide Fringe favourite The LadyBoys of Bangkok has made a grand return in 2026 with a brand-new show, landing in the East End and impressing fans throughout the season.

After a hugely successful debut season last year, the troupe has been back in town, bringing a mix of cabaret, vocals and dance numbers to The Garden of Unearthly Delights. This time around, the party has been unfolding inside the iconic red, yellow and black-striped big-top tent of The Roundhouse.

Combining risque humour with the spectacle of a West End-style production, the new show is a celebration of identity, ambition and self-expression. Delivered by a cast of 14 extraordinarily talented performers, the production has leaned into everything audiences loved in 2025, while dialling up the energy, inclusivity and sparkle.

Creative Director Hayley Gandey says, “Roll your most outrageously fun wedding, birthday and New Year’s Eve party memories into one, and you still won’t get close to the ‘night of your life’ feeling this whirlwind experience will send you home with. It’s an hour of pure joy, absolute acceptance and inclusion – guaranteed to put a spring in everyone’s step!”

Alongside chart-topping anthems and crowd-favourite hits, the show is packed with comedy and interactive moments that will have audiences up in their seats. It’s this mix that has helped make a name for The LadyBoys of Bangkok as a standout act on the global stage.

With more than 25 years of international acclaim behind them, the production continues to impress for its entertainment value and its visual spectacle. From flawless makeup to hundreds of couture-level costumes, including stunning traditional Thai ensembles, every detail is crafted to captivate.

The talent is just as phenomenal, with powerful vocals, precise choreography and undeniable stage presence coming together to create a performance that sticks with you.

So whether you’re a first-timer or a returning fan, this is one Fringe show to catch before it all wraps up on March 22nd!
