FOXTEL GROUP completes large scale exit from former Macquarie Park site

After two decades at its Macquarie Park headquarters in North Ryde, Foxtel has officially closed the doors on the site, marking the end of a long running chapter for the business.

The base has now been fully vacated and restored, with TV Blackbox understanding staff relocated to Artarmon late last year to join FOX Sports at the newly named Broadcast Way Studios.

The milestone was revealed by Foxtel Group’s Head of Facilities Shawn Rowan late last week on LinkedIn following the completion of an extensive make good project.

Rowan also shared several images from across the Macquarie Park site, offering a rare look inside the vacated headquarters after its full restoration.

In the post, Rowan said the project marked a significant milestone for the team.

“This marks the completion of a significant make good project spanning approximately 18,500 sqm, successfully delivered by the Facilities team here at Foxtel Group.”

The facility, located at Thomas Holt Drive in North Ryde, had served as Foxtel’s primary Sydney base since 2006, housing both corporate and production operations.

The move brings Foxtel’s Sydney teams together under one roof at Artarmon, streamlining operations and supporting closer collaboration across departments.

Alongside the closure, the make good process also diverted furniture, televisions and office equipment from landfill, with items redistributed through community initiatives.
