She has been an actress, a teacher as well as worked in official capacity for arts and culture. She was a guest on Mazaq Raat and shared the story of her one true love. A tragedy that she faced in her life and a man who she still remembers.
Faryal Gohar revealed that she was engaged to the love of her life. He was a pilot to Palestnian leader Yasser Arafat and a Palestinian himself. While they were on a flight once, they got stuck in a sandstorm and the fuel was not enough to land. He took the leader in the aircraft bathroom and sealed it there. He then nosedived the plane to save Yasser Arafat but he himself embraced Shahadat.
This happened just two weeks before their wedding. He passed away in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. He gave a locket that she had given him with their upcoming wedding date engraved on it to a Pakistani doctor accompanying him and requested her to wait for him. The doctor reached her years later and gave the locket to her.
